Supporting the best cancer outcomes in Canada
Great News! This year B.C. Cancer Foundation will be the beneficiary of the proceeds from the NORTHWEST TANDEM BIKE RALLY. This event occurs annually on a July 4th weekend and, in 2009, is expected to bring around 400 tandem teams to the Capital Regional District. Participants from Canada and the United States in this family event will tour, explore, visit and enjoy the experience of riding throughout Victoria and the regional areas.
The BC Cancer Foundation is an independent charitable organization that raises funds to support breakthrough research and care at the BC Cancer Agency. The BC Cancer Agency is responsible for cancer care and control for everyone in British Columbia.
The BC Cancer Agency's Vancouver Island Centre provides cancer care and contol for everyone on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The Centre is also a leading-edge cancer research facility. The amalgamation of care and research within the same facilities brings together the caregivers and researchers, to ensure that the patients benefit from the latest knowledge about cancer and receive the beset treatments available.
The Foundation has offices in all four of the BC Cancer's Agency's treatment centres - Fraser Valley, Southern Interior, Vancouver Island and Vancouver.

TOURISM VICTORIA
Tourism Victoria is the official not-for-profit tourism industry association that works in partnership with over 1,000 business members and municipalities in the Greater Victoria area and surrounding communities of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Tourism Victoria’s mandate is to increase the economic impact of tourism for Greater Victoria by marketing the destination and servicing visitor needs.
